  "Euskera": The Basque languaje.
Euskera (Basque) is the Basque people's native language. It is a remote language of Indo-European origin, and therefore it is considered a real cultural relic.

  Festivals
We shall begin our extensive and popular tour of the Lea-Artibai region's festivals with two celebrations of marked seafaring tradition.

  Popular dances
The Lea-Artibai region clearly shows that dance is part of the idiosyncrasies and spirit of its people. In its small geographic area there are at least six different dances, all of them entirely local.

In a region with deeply-rooted traditions, such as Lea-Artibai, the artistic expression of its people is an extension of its most pure tradition.

Craftwork reflects the customs and way of life of a people, and represents a valuable cultural treasure.

  Farm and Fishing Fairs
Throughout the year, the towns of Markina-Xemein, Lekeitio, Ondarroa and Berriatua share the scene for the principal fairs.
