Popular Dances
Kaxarranka One of the most well-known dances is the popular Kaxarranka, whose origin is to be found in the fishermen's brotherhood and guild. Traditionally, it is danced on Saint Peter's Day (Saint Peter is fishermen's patron saint). This curious dance is performed on a kutxa or large chest supported on the shoulders of eight fishermen.
